Erie Neighborhood House
Erie Neighborhood House has been a service agency for Chicago immigrant communities since 1870. Milhouse Construction is the carpentry subcontractor for converting a portion of the Teamster’s Hall to a day care center. Milhouse’s talented carpentry crew is working closely with the general contractor and mechanical trades to identify wall layout adjustments, avoiding mechanical route conflicts, taking advantage of existing chases, and avoiding changes in work. We are performing framing, drywall, rough carpentry, acoustical ceilings, door installation, and finish carpentry on this ongoing project.
Chatham Walmart
Milhouse Construction, Inc. provided project management and general contracting services for this 20,566 square foot re-model. Bathroom, breakroom, and back office remodels required our team's expertise in: layout, metal stud framing, drywall, taping, door installation, demolition, rough and finish carpentry, wainscoting, paneling, casework, countertops, and ceilings. Other trades included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofing, signage, and site work. The newly reopened Walmart Supercenter in Chatham now includes a new, state-of-the-art health facility providing affordable and accessible primary and urgent care, labs, x-rays, counseling, dental, and hearing services all under one roof.
Dever Elementary School
Milhouse Construction was challenged with completing all framing and rough carpentry for this new 17,000 sf building within a very aggressive 2 1/2 month schedule. Strong on-site leadership and coordination between trades allowed our team to deliver a high quality, finished building that exceeded the expectations of our client, much to the delight of the CPS.
Walmart Pullman
Milhouse Construction, Inc. provided project management services
as part of a general contracting team that managed the construction
aspect of this $17M ground-up project. Our team managed over 40
subcontractors and suppliers, organized project meetings, and provided
scheduling. Environmental services included management of the
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Hazardous
Material Management Plan.
